Producer Ralph R. Clemente has been a seminal force in the Florida independent film scene on several different levels. Clemente produced and directed the award-winning feature Sealed With a Kiss and served as producer on the critically acclaimed feature Cease Fire with Don Johnson. Clemente has been instrumental in Florida film education as head of the University of Miami's Film Department and more recently as Director of the Film Program at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. Under Clemente, Valencia has grown tremendously. The current class completed three feature films in one school year. Clemente, more than any one person, is responsible for the high caliber of independent films coming out of the Central Florida area. Clemente is planning to direct his own feature film in Miami in Fall, 1999.

Although Night Orchid is the first feature film for director of photography Paul Atkins, he has won numerous awards for his cinematography, directing and producing in the natural history world including two British Academy Awards, three Cine-Golden Eagles, and three Emmy Awards.

"Stylish lensing by Paul Atkins contributes much to the movie's sense of foreboding and uses Florida settings - wooden houses, orange groves, and a deserted fruit packing plant - to errite effect." -

His nature documentaries include Hawaii: Strangers in Paradise, a National Geographic Special; and Islands of the Fire Goddess, a BBC/PBS Nature Series production. In 1996 his National Geographic Special, Great White Shark won a 1996 Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography. Paul's most recent film is the NBC and National Geographic Special, Dolphins: the Wild Side. Paul is currently working on a National Geographic Special on killer whales and is prepping to direct an upcoming IMAX feature. Paul is the uncle to Night Orchid director, Mark Atkins.

Louisiana guitarist C.C. Adcock provides the music soundtrack for Night Orchid. Hailing from Lafayette, Adcock has logged countless miles and hours touring and recording with such acts as Buckwheat Zydeco and Bo Diddley. He is able to mix all his influences into a searing swamp-pop concoction, and his music soundtrack for Night Orchid not only sticks to the ribs, but shakes you right down to the heart of the matter in this Southern gothic mystery. Currently, Adcock is in seclusion in Tahiti composing music for his new album after the huge success of his recent Island Records' release, House Rocker.
